PEG-MGF (PEGylated Mechano Growth Factor) is a synthetic, long-acting analog of MGF, a splice variant of IGF-1 produced naturally in muscle tissue in response to mechanical stress. The addition of polyethylene glycol (PEG) extends its half-life from minutes to several days, allowing systemic circulation and broader research applications in muscle repair, hypertrophy, and recovery.
MGF is a localized splice variant of IGF-1 (IGF-1Ec) released by muscle fibers following mechanical loading or damage. It activates muscle satellite cells, increases protein synthesis, and supports the regeneration of damaged tissue. Native MGF acts only locally and degrades within minutes. PEGylation protects the peptide from enzymatic breakdown and renal clearance, allowing it to circulate systemically and reach a wider range of muscle tissue, mimicking and prolonging the natural anabolic response to training.
Commonly researched post-workout to align with the natural MGF release window Frequently paired with CJC-1295 / Ipamorelin for synergistic GH and IGF-1 axis support Often stacked with BPC-157 or TB-500 in recovery and repair protocols Typical research dosing: 200–400 mcg, 2–3 times per week Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water; store refrigerated post-reconstitution Use within 2–3 weeks of reconstitution for peptide stability
