Overview

CJC-1295 with DAC is a long-acting synthetic analog of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). The addition of the Drug Affinity Complex (DAC) — a maleimidopropionic acid group that binds to circulating albumin — extends its half-life from minutes to approximately 6-8 days. This produces a sustained elevation of GH and IGF-1 levels, often referred to as a "GH bleed," allowing for convenient weekly dosing. It is the longest-acting GHRH analog available in peptide research and is favored in protocols where consistent GH/IGF-1 elevation is preferred over pulsatile release.

Mechanism of Action

CJC-1295 with DAC binds to GHRH receptors in the anterior pituitary, stimulating the synthesis and release of growth hormone. The DAC modification enables the peptide to covalently bind to serum albumin, protecting it from enzymatic degradation and renal clearance. This results in continuous GHRH receptor activation rather than pulsatile stimulation, producing sustained GH release and elevated IGF-1 levels over the course of days rather than hours. While this differs from the body's natural pulsatile GH pattern, it provides a steady anabolic and lipolytic environment for research applications focused on long-term tissue and metabolic effects.

Key Benefits
  • Sustained GH and IGF-1 elevation for several days per dose
  • Convenient 1-2x weekly dosing schedule
  • Supports lean muscle development and tissue repair
  • Promotes fat metabolism and improved body composition
  • Enhances sleep quality and recovery
  • Supports skin elasticity and anti-aging research
  • Increases collagen synthesis and connective tissue health
  • Reduces injection frequency compared to short-acting GHRH analogs
Side Effects & Safety
  • Injection site redness, swelling, or irritation
  • Water retention and mild edema, especially in early weeks
  • Tingling or numbness in hands and feet (carpal tunnel-like symptoms)
  • Possible joint discomfort due to elevated IGF-1
  • Increased hunger or altered appetite
  • Lethargy or fatigue in some research subjects
  • Disrupts natural pulsatile GH rhythm with prolonged use
  • Not approved for human use; sold strictly for research purposes
  • Long-term safety profile in humans has not been fully established
  • Consult a qualified medical professional before any use
Research & Stacking Notes

Pairs with Ipamorelin or GHRP-2 to amplify GH pulses on top of the sustained baseline Commonly stacked with PEG-MGF or IGF-1 LR3 for muscle growth research Complements BPC-157 and TB-500 in recovery and connective tissue repair protocols Often used in longer research cycles of 8-16 weeks Typical research dosing: 1000-2000 mcg, 1-2 times per week Once-weekly dosing common; twice-weekly preferred for steadier serum levels Less reliant on empty-stomach timing than No DAC version due to sustained release Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water; refrigerate after mixing Use within 4 weeks of reconstitution due to longer protocol cycles
